In March 2015, the Force satisfied the renewal assessment of the Manpower Developer (MD) Award and is now entitled to enjoy the MD status for another two years ending on March 31 2017. The renewal of the MD status reaffirmed the Force's commitment to, and success in, building its organisational capacity with different comprehensive training and development programmes.

 

With the MD status, the Force can keep on using the MD logo in police publications, websites and activities.  The logo and its specifications are now available on Frequently Used Link on the POINT.  Formations are encouraged to use the logo in their presentation materials or publications. 

 

The Employee Retraining Board launched the Manpower Developer Award Scheme in 2009 to pay recognition each year to the organisations that have demonstrated outstanding achievements in manpower training and development.  The Force participated in the scheme for the first time back in 2013 and has been honoured with the status of MD for two years in recognition of its success in training and developing staff.
