Tai Po District (TPDIST) Commander Patrick Laidler, accompanied by a party of his management staff, called at the production plant of the Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas) in Tai Po Industrial Estate on March 13 and look at the plant's facilities, operations and production process of natural gas.

 

Later in a seminar, Mr Laidler discussed and exchanged views on many matters with the Towngas senior management, including security facilities, deployment of security guards, and contingency drills. The Towngas management undertook to maintain a close liaison with the police.
