To enhance its publicity campaign to educate elderly pedestrians, Traffic Kowloon West (T KW) arranged 19 members of the road safety elderly team of the Shamshuipo Chan Kwan Tung Social Centre for the Elderly, together with members of Road Safety Patrol Kowloon West Region, to visit the T KW Operational Base on March 27.

 

The elders attended a seminar, learning the proper ways of using pedestrian facilities and, in particular, being reminded of refraining from dashing onto the road between two cars. They also watched a film show introducting the laser gun, screening breath test equipment and daily work of the Report Room.

 

During the visit, T KW Senior Superintendent Chan Kwok-kee and Superintendent of Investigation & Support KW Cheung Hon-kwong thanked the elders for their contributions to promotion of safety for elderly pedestrians.
