The Police Recruitment Day (Spring) 2015 was held at Police Headquarters on May 2, attracting more than 1 300 applications.
With the support of over 100 regular and auxiliary police volunteers, the participants completed within half a day the initial screening (height and weight measurements and eyesight test), academic qualification check, scheduling of written examinations (for Probationary Inspector (PI) applicants) and physical fitness test (for Auxiliary Police applicants) as well as group interviews (for Recruit Police Constable (RPC) applicants).
Auxiliary Police Headquarters also organised seminars for applicants to learn more about the Auxiliary Police Force.
Assistant Commissioner (Personnel) Lau Chi-wai attended the event to show support for the recruitment arrangements while representatives from other disciplinary forces also visited the venue and appreciated that the arrangements effectively shortened selection time.
The recruitment target of the 2015/16 financial year is 190 PIs and 1 320 RPCs. To attract high calibre candidates to join the Force, Recruitment Division will continue to organise more recruitment activities. The Summer Recruitment Day has been scheduled for July 25.
