New Territories South (NTS) offered an experience-sharing session on policing of public events on May 5 to enhance officers' professionalism in handling public events.

 

Welcoming the officers to the session, NTS Regional Commander Lui Hon-kwok pointed out that policing of public events was one of the major challenges for the Force nowadays.  He said the seminar will equip officer with the knowledge of making operational plans and boost their confidence in handling the events.

 

The facilitator of the seminar, Police Tactical Unit Alpha Company Commander Leung Tsz-kin, shared his views of policing public events from different aspects, including the law, tactical options, and handling the media.

 

The session concluded with a question-and-answer session, after which the participants found the seminar inspiring and useful.
