The 15th Inauguration Ceremony of the Kowloon West Youth-Care Committee (KWYCC) was held on April 16 with KW Regional Commander Chung Siu-yeung officiating before 400 guests, including representatives from District Fight Crime Committees, non-governmental organisations, government departments and schools.

 

Mr Chung presented certificates of appointment to 24 KWYCC Honorary Presidents and thanked them and committee members for their ongoing support for KW Region.

 

The ceremony also paid tribute to the KW Youth-Care Volunteer Services Team for pulling off a Gold Award presented by Social Welfare Department.

 

KW Region formed the KWYCC in 2001 with other government departments, voluntary agencies and youth organisations for advising the police on policies on, and activities for, young people.
