Expecting that more local holidaymakers would head for the Mainland shortly before the Labour Day holiday, Commercial Crime Bureau mounted a joint publicity drive on counterfeit banknotes at Lo Wu Control Point and Lok Ma Chau Spurline on April 27 with New Territories North Regional Crime Prevention Office and Border District Police Community Relations Office.  Officers handed out fliers and souvenirs to members of the public and handled their enquiries on the ways to identify fake banknotes.
