New series of Knowledge Cafe rolled out

The first sharing session on drink and drug driving of a new series of Knowledge Cafe was held earlier at the Seminar Hall of Police Headquarters, which was packed with officers from different formations. Experienced speakers from the Traffic Branch Impaired Driving Unit and Traffic Law Revision & Projects Division imparted their experiences of issues like the Force's strategies and policies on combating drink and drug driving as well as legal matters associated with enforcement action.

A quiz was held immediately after the sharing. The instant evaluation through the E-platform indicated that the audience considered this Knowledge Cafe session very useful in terms of the knowledge and skills of handling drink and drug driving cases.

This monthly knowledge-sharing Knowledge Cafe was launched in 2009. Held under an informal and relaxing atmosphere, the new series was led by newly-appointed KM Champion, Senior Superintendent Jennifer Chin, for the Peer Adviser Scheme.

The new series will cover topics addressing the practical needs of targeted audiences or any knowledge gap and offer more time for Q&A session with a view to enhancing knowledge transfer and promoting a learning culture within the Force.

In addition, a new PEN address PAS@police.gov.hk has been created for providing a one-stop service.  From now on, officers having enquiries related to Force matters, may forward their queries to this designated PEN account for assistance, in addition to making direct telephone enquiries with more than 120 Peer Advisers of different areas of expertise.
