The Police Mentorship Programme (PMP) and the Auxiliary Undergraduate Scheme (AUS) aim at recruiting undergraduates with high calibre. On November 7 and 21, Recruitment Division (REC DIV) held two briefing sessions to introduce the PMP and AUS to about 300 participants.
A newly joined Police Constable (Auxiliary) from the AUS introduced his training and daily duties as well as the ways to prepare for the AUS selection and interview. PMP mentors told the participants how PMP had provided mentees with opportunities to understand better the Force and the challenges of police work. Mentees also shared their experiences and knowledge obtained through interaction with their mentors. The response to both briefing sessions was overwhelming and many undergraduates handed in applications for the two projects on the spot.
Enrolment for the AUS and PMP for 2016/2017 has commenced. Application forms are available at http://www.police.gov.hk/ppp_en/15_recruit/news.html. Pass this message to your family members, relatives and friends and encourage them to join the PMP and AUS. The forms should be returned to Students Affairs Offices or emailed to rec-publicity@police.gov.hk. For enquiries, contact REC DIV at 2860-6477.
