The Regional Crime Prevention Office of Kowloon East (RCPO KE), in co-operation with Wong Tai Sin District Fight Crime Committee (WTS DFCC) and Hong Kong Playground Association, has mounted a four-month crime prevention publicity campaign known as "Netsurfing with Ease".

The campaign kicked off last October with focus on many topics, such as Naked Chat threat, Cyber Bully, Online Friend Trap, Online Posts and protection of Personal Data by Encryption. To make teenagers more aware of the potential danger in the cyber world and the legal liabilities of cyber crime, crime prevention publicity leaflets and posters were distributed to the public, in addition to school talks, roving exhibitions and road shows.

The publicity campaign came to a successful conclusion on January 16 when WTS DFCC members and volunteers boarded an open-top bus to visit various places to remind the public to prevent cyber crime.
