New Territories South (NTS) Regional Commander (RC) Lui Hon-kwok and Acting Kowloon East (KE) RC Cheng Shuk-chun took the salute as Reviewing Officer at the annual parades of the Hong Kong Road Safety Patrol (HKRSP) NTS Region and the HKRSP KE Region on February 21 and 28 respectively.

On the NTS parade were 20 HKRSP teams from secondary, primary schools and kindergartens, and 25 teams from the similar groups on the KE parade.

Addressing the parade, Mr Lui pointed out that HKRSP members had actively participated in different activities, raising the road safety awareness of all walks of life. The Force would continue to work closely with the community to promote road safety. He also stressed that the Force would continue to combat drink driving, drug driving, speeding and illegal road racing with education, publicity and law enforcement action.

In her speech, Ms Cheng thanked the HKRSP for its valuable contribution to road safety, especially on publicity to the younger generation, in conjunction with police districts and Traffic KE.

Some teenagers and parents from the Non-ethnic Chinese community also attended the parade as guests at the invitation of Traffic KE to promote community engagement.
