The Eastern District (EDIST) "Anti-Phone and Online Deception Publicity Campaign" has continued to gather momentum. On February 25, an Eastern District Council member, Mr Lau Hing-yeung, three Eastern District Fight Crime Committee members, Ms Li Lee, Ms Liang Jie-ping and Mr Wong Chiu-yin and the property manager of Hing Wah (I) Estate in Chai Wan, Mr Tang Siu-Hong, joined EDIST Deputy Commander Ip Chi-keung, Chai Wan Divisional Commander Fan Chor-fun, Chai Wan Assistant Divisional Commander (Operations) Rohit Bhagat and EDIST Police Community Relations Officer Ku Siu-fai in staging an anti-telephone deception and anti-naked chat blackmail seminar in Hing Wah Estate.

Commander of Patrol Sub-unit 3 of Chai Wan Division So Yue-tin presented the trend of telephone deception and naked chat blackmail to the public and elaborated on police measures for preventing such crimes. Senior Police Call (SPC) members assisted in promoting anti-phone deception messages to the public with the assistance of the "SPC Fight Crime Vigour Truck".

Finally, SPC and Junior Police Call members, Non-ethnic Chinese Fight Crime Ambassadors and Project Youth C.A.N. members accompanied the guests in handing leaflets to passers-by.
