Crime Prevention Bureau, Regional Crime Prevention Offices and Police Community Relations Officers joined forces in staging an Anti-telephone Deception Publicity and Education Day in various locations on February 23. The event attracted over 700 participants, including members of District Fight Crime Committees, District Councils, Junior Police Call (JPC) and Senior Police Call (SPC), all of whom pledged to help with the dissemination of anti-telephone deception messages.

JPC members also used instant messaging to deliver the messages to their peers, while SPC members helped distribute leaflets and souvenirs carrying the messages to the public. Crime Prevention Bureau's Robotcop attracted a lot of attention at the event.
