To promote officers' awareness on information security, Eastern District (EDIST) and Western District (WDIST) appointed officers as Information Technology (IT) Wardens on June 6 and 21 respectively.

EDIST Commander Graham Mitchelmore, when presenting appointment certificates to 47 IT Wardens, emphasised the valuable roles played by the Wardens in promoting the importance of information security and assisting in safeguarding the integrity of the District's information and communications systems.

On the other hand, Acting WDIST Commander Ho Kai-hin officiated at the appointment ceremony of WDIST. He appreciated the 54 IT Wardens for taking up such an important role and assisting IT security officers in inspecting computer terminals in the units.

Training workshops had been arranged for the IT Wardens to enhance their knowledge on information security and relevant IT control measures.
