A victim of an assault case, Mr Cheung, along with the chairman of a bus company employees union Mr Kwok Chi-sing, Chairman of Sha Tin District Fight Crime Committee Mr Wong Ka-wing, as well as Sha Tin District Council members Messrs Pun Kwok-shan and Yau Man-chun, presented four banners to Shatin District Commander Kwan Chui-ching, Commander of Tin Sum Division (TSDIV) Chan Chun-fai and his officers on June 10 in recognition of their professionalism and efficiency in detecting a case of Common Assault.

Mr Cheung was assaulted by a passenger whilst he was on duty at Jat Min Chuen Street bus stop on March 15. The assailant fled immediately. After in-depth investigation by Task Force officers of TSDIV, the assailant was subsequently arrested on March 18.
