Thirty-eight swimmers from the Force Swimming Team pocketed 12 Gold, 16 Silver and 21 Bronze medals in the individual and relay events at the Long Course Masters Swimming Championships organised by the Hong Kong Amateur Swimming Association at Kwun Tong Swimming Pool on June 12. The team also won overall second runner-up for men and women respectively.
Through this competition, some elite swimmers had been handpicked to attend a number of international and national competitions later this year, including the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Police and Security Forces Sports Exchange.
An Annual General Meeting was also held that evening. With the support of members, the Chairman, Superintendent Ho Ka-fei, will continue to lead the Police Swimming Club in the coming year. He was very pleased with the Force swimmers' performance and encouraged them to continue doing their utmost in upcoming competitions.
