A member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China Shenzhen Municipal Committee, Mr Liu Qingsheng, led seven delegates to pay a courtesy call on Commissioner Lo Wai-chung on October 18.

Mr Liu was the former Director of Shenzhen Municipal Public Security Bureau (SZ PSB). Recently, he has been transferred to the present post to take charge of traffic matters.

Mr Liu exchanged views with Mr Lo about the traffic management practices of the two cities. Mr Lo expressed his deep gratitude for Mr Liu's resolute efforts in promoting policing co-operation between Hong Kong and Shenzhen during his tenure as the Director of SZ PSB. Both sides had cracked down on a series of major drug trafficking and criminal cases. Mr Lo wished Mr Liu every success in his new post.
