In a bid to help junior officers to enhance their readiness for the Probationary Inspector (PI) selection exercise, the Personnel Wing and the Police English Club (PEC) co-organised English workshops for over 150 junior officers on October 11 and 16.

The workshops aimed at improving the English proficiency of potential officers, and enhancing their knowledge of current affairs. A guest speaker with PI selection experience shared his insights on the interview strategies and presentation skills.

On the other hand, a new "PEC Whatsapp Buzz" chat group tailor-made for these junior officers has just been launched in November to provide useful English phrases for their reference. Earlier in April, PEC has launched a cyber chat room via the social media.
