Yau Tsim District (YTDIST) Deputy Commander Kerry Carew hosted a liaison meeting with six Nepalese leaders on October 4.

Mr Carew exchanged views with the Nepalese leaders, including a member of Yau Tsim Mong District Fight Crime Committee Ms Rita Gurung, about Nepalese juvenile crime as well as concern about violence and nuisance caused by alcohol abuse of some Nepalese. Officers briefed the Nepalese leaders about the crime situation in the district, and urged them to encourage the Nepalese community to report crime. In response the Nepalese leaders promised to work together with the Force to build a harmonious community.
