In a bid to remind the public and shop owners to guard against counterfeit banknotes, the Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB) mounted a joint publicity drive with Yau Tsim Mong District Fight Crime Committee (YTMDFCC), Kowloon Fruit & Vegetable Merchants Association Limited (KFVMA), Regional Crime Prevention Office of Kowloon West Region (RCPO KW) and Police Community Relations Office of Yau Tsim District (PCRO YTDIST) in Yau Ma Tei Wholesale Fruit Market and various locations on November 10.

Chairperson of YTMDFCC Ms Chan Heung-lin and Vice Chairman of KFVMA Mr Cheung Chi-cheung, together with officers of CCB, RCPO KW and PCRO YTDIST, distributed leaflets to shop owners and the public in the wholesale market to remind them to check the security features of banknotes during transactions. Officers also distributed similar leaflets in other markets in the district.
