The Project STARS was launched by the Administration Wing of New Territories North (NTN) Region this year with an aim to exploring new ways of promoting community participation. The project members conducted a pop-up community engagement road show at three locations in August.
Comprising young inspectors and police constables from different divisions in NTN, the project staged the road shows to convey multiple messages - the Force's caring image, crime prevention and road safety - to the public in one stop.
The participants were also invited to sign up for receiving crime prevention messages from the NTN Regional Crime Prevention Office. Moreover, officers from the Quick Reaction Force of NTN displayed their operational equipment and let the participants try camo face paint. The participants gave a positive response to the activities.
