The Head of the Asia and Pacific region for the National Crime Agency (NCA) of the United Kingdom, Mr Mark Bishop, led a delegation to visit the Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB) on April 29 to enhance collaboration in the fight against global fraud and commercial crime.

Chief Superintendent of the CCB Wong Chi-kwong received the delegation. He briefed them on the current situation of commercial crime in Hong Kong as well as the Force's corresponding initiatives, including the establishment of the Anti-Deception Coordination Centre (ADCC) and the Fraud and Money Laundering Intelligence Taskforce (FMLIT).

Both parties discussed ways to strengthen law enforcement capabilities. They particularly acknowledged the importance of public-private partnership, taking the ADCC and the FMLIT as examples. Mr Bishop introduced the UK's National Economic Crime Centre (NECC), which was recently established within the NCA to co-ordinate the national response to economic crime.

Both sides agreed to strengthen the working relationship between the ADCC, the FMLIT and the NECC in combating commercial crime.
