The annual Display of the Mace ceremony was held at the Police College on June 3 in memory of the late Sir Shiu-kin Tang. Sir Shiu-kin's son, Richard, and daughter, Yvonne, were present at the event.

Speaking at the ceremony, Commissioner Lo Wai-chung thanked the philanthropist's family for their generous support for the Force. Two silver maces were placed on a stack of traditional drums, and a minute of silence followed. Then the Police Band played a selection of music to conclude the ceremony.

Donated by Sir Shiu-kin's family as an emblem of their close relationship with the Force, the two silver maces are used by the Police Band at major official functions.
