The Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB) hosted a seminar on "Cyber Security Management: Protecting Your Entity" at the Police Headquarters on May 29. The seminar aimed to strengthen the protection of critical infrastructures against cyber security incidents. It attracted the participation of over 220 cyber security professionals from five sectors, namely banking and finance, transportation, communications, government and public utilities.


Delivering an opening speech in the seminar, Superintendent of CSTCB Tsang Nga-sze said cyber security drills can strengthen the awareness of enterprises and enhance their resilience against cyber attacks. Partner of the Risk Advisory in Deloitte China – Hong Kong office Ms Eva Kwok was invited to explain the causes of cyber attacks as well as preventive measures. She also gave a demonstration on how hackers could use USB transmission lines to implant malware to access other's computers. Senior Inspector of CSTCB Lau Altamiranda Daniel Chun-yu shared his experience in conducting cyber security drills with stakeholders in the cyber security sector.


The participants actively joined the discussion. They said the seminar provided useful information for them to formulate cyber security measures.
