More than 10 volunteers from the Police Volleyball Club (PVC) provided volleyball training to nearly 40 students of Fukien Secondary School Affiliated School for three days in April and May under the Active School Programme.

The programme is run by the Hong Kong Elite Athletes Association to instill positive energy into schools through sports training. The training sessions provided an opportunity for the primary school students to communicate with police officers and increase their understanding of officers from a different perspective.

Police Community Relations Officer of Kwun Tong District Tam Yu-hei was invited to present souvenirs to the students at the end of the training sessions. He encouraged the students to do more exercises in their spare time to keep fit. Chairperson of the PVC Ms Tse Tsui-yan thanked the volunteers for their active participation in the training sessions, enhancing the volleyball skills of the students and fostering closer ties between the Police and the school.

The Police Volleyball Team practises from 7pm to 10pm every Thursday at the Police Sports and Recreation Club. Force members and their families interested in joining the training may email to hkpvc.hkp@gmail.com, or contact Inspector Jackie on 6050-4211 or Sergeant Woo Yiu-pui on 9151-8608.
