The Public Relations (PR) Wing, in collaboration with the Police College, organised a seminar on June 19 with the theme “Crisis Communication and Trust Management” under the Management Development Programme. Crisis communication expert Mr Kwan Chuk-fai was invited to share his experience in corporate communications for more than 30 years. Over 140 officers from Headquarters and frontline units, as well as Force Media Liaison Cadre members, attended the seminar.

Chief Superintendent of PR Wing Leung Chung-man also briefed officers on the latest amendment to Chapter 39 of the Force Procedures Manual and shared the public relations challenges the Force had been facing in recent years. Pointing out that PR Wing would keep collaborating with major Formations to further enhance the Force’s capability in crisis communication, Leung Chung-man encouraged all Force members to take part in the effort by submitting good police stories to project the Force’s positive image. Their stories can be submitted through the following channels: email to goodpolicestory@police.gov.hk, call the hotline at 5664-9305 or send messages via P-Chat to #goodpolicestory.
