Deputy Regional Commander (DRC) of New Territories South (NTS) Yeung Man-pun led officers in holding the first liaison meeting with non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) community leaders and representatives of the four recently established Ethnic Minority District Services and Community Care Teams on January 9 to enhance communication among the establishments concerned.

In the meeting, officers from the Regional Intelligence Unit, Operations Wing, Regional Crime Prevention Office and District Police Community Relations Offices briefed about the regional crime trend, shared anti-deception and anti-drug messages and introduced NEC engagement initiatives. The participants promised to disseminate the police messages to their communities and collaborate with the Force to facilitate NEC social integration.
