Huaqiao University delegation visits College
Secretary of the Party Committee of Huaqiao University (HQU) Mr Xu Xipeng led a delegation to visit the Hong Kong Police College (College) on January 3, and met with officers from the Human Resources Branch and School of Foundation Training (SFT) for discussion and exchange of views. Assistant Commissioner (Personnel) Chan Man-tak welcomed the delegation and highlighted the success of Police University Recruitment Express – Mainland (PURE Mainland), a collaborative initiative with HQU that was launched in 2022, which had successfully recruited Mainland students joining the Force. Both sides agreed to expand collaboration to facilitate more Hong Kong students studying in the Mainland to make their application. Following the discussion, the delegation toured the College and met with eight HQU graduates currently undergoing police training to learn about their experience in the training.
PURE Overseas
To facilitate Hong Kong students from overseas universities to join the Force, the Recruitment Division (RECDIV) launched the Police University Recruitment Express – Overseas (PURE Overseas) during the winter school holiday in December 2024. In PURE Overseas, the applicants could finish the Written Examinations, Psychometric Test, Extended Interview and Final Interview for Probationary Inspector selection within four days. 51 applications were received during the event. Among them, ten applicants successfully passed the Final Interview. RECDIV will hold the second PURE Overseas in the coming summer holiday.
