The Dowman Road Race, an annual event of the Police Athletics Club (PAC), took place at Pak Tam Chung, Sai Kung on February 8. The Safeguarding National Security Cup was also held on the same day. Through taking part in sports competitions, Force members were reminded to strengthen their bodies and promote the awareness of national security. The Commissioner and members of senior management were present to cheer on the participants and helpers.
Five official records in the categories of Women’s Master I, Men’s Master III, Retired HK Police Members – Men II, Auxiliary Police Men’s Open and Auxiliary Police Women’s Open were broken in this years’ competitions. Police College was crowned the champion in the categories of Other Formation/Unit and Women’s team. The championship of Specialist Unit and Safeguarding National Security Cup went to Operations Wing.
Chairman of PAC Dr Law Yuet-wing expressed gratitude to all volunteers and staff for their assistance in success of the event. PAC’s upcoming event, the Police Athletics Championship, is scheduled to take place at Wan Chai Sports Ground on April 22. Please continue to support and participate in the event.
