RECENTLY the Inland Revenue Department announced that the interest rate on funds in the "Pay as You Earn" Scheme have been increased from 7.68 per cent to 8.28 per cent effective 1 June 98. All those interested in joining the "Pay as You Earn" Scheme must complete a GF 605 application form (available from your General Registry) and send it to the Inland Revenue Department. THE annual statement of accounts for the year ending 31 March 1998 has been accepted by the Management Committee and certified by the auditors. Income for the financial year was HK$4,276,718.64, while expenditure amounted to HK$5,681,340.00. There was a deficit of HK$1,404,621.36 which accumulated the funds to HK$5,337,263.60. |
