Good work evaded traffic chaos

Regarding the recent dispute over the Midstream Operators' Surcharge, I would like to, on behalf of the Kwai Tsing District Council, express my hearty gratitude to you, to Kwai Tsing District Commander Lau Wai-ming and to your colleagues involved in maintaining law, order, and particularly traffic, in and around the Kwai Chung Container Terminal area during the dispute.
Without your personal involvement and the dedication of Police, the incident might have brought about greater inconvenience to residents and turned into a more serious crisis. I and my colleagues in the District Council were very much impressed by the Police's restraint, professionalism and patience. Please convey our appreciation.
