Officers participate in Karate-Do contest
More than 100 participants took part in a Karate-Do tournament held at the Police Sports and Recreation Club last month.
Organised by the Police Karate-Do Club, contesters from the Junior Police Calls of Kowloon City, Sau Mau Ping, Sha Tin, Wong Tai Sin and representatives of several other Karate-Do dojos participated.
Senior Inspector Cheng Hung of Commercial Crime Bureau won the Kumite event while Police Constable Ma Chun-pong of Traffic Hong Kong Island took the Kata event crown.
Force members interested in taking up this sport are welcome to join training sessions held every Tuesday and Friday evenings at PSRC's Arts Gallery and table-tennis function room respectively.
