Officers shine in powerlifting championships

Two members of the Hong Kong Police Bodybuilding Powerlifting Club, Police Constable Wong Wai-kwan and Police Constable (Auxiliary) Luk Ching-ming, clinched the second and third places respectively in the Hong Kong Powerlifting Championships held at Queen Elizabeth Stadium recently. This annual competition attracted a good turn out of 60 lifters.

PC Wong, from Tsuen Wan District, achieved a very creditable 2nd place in the 82.5 kg Weight Category with a 120 kg Bench Press, a 130 kg Squat and a 150 kg Deadlift. PC(A) Luk from Lei Muk Shue Division, in his first attempt in the competition, obtained the bronze in the 67.5 kg category, lifting 120 kg in the Bench, 120 kg in Squat and 130 kg in Deadlift.
