CC3 System rolled out in NT and HKI |
||||||||||||||||
Different from the conventional CC2 radio, the CC3 radio is a digital trunk radio that needs to be registered and authenticated by the CC3 network before it can be used. An LED at the top of the radio shows whether the radio is registered, authenticated and ready for service. The LCD shows the talkgroup that the radio is currently operating on. If the radio is out of coverage, a periodic alert tone will be heard every 30 seconds.
The user can change from TMO to DMO or vice versa through the menu function (Menu-6-2-2 to DMO or Menu-6-2-1 to TMO). One of the side buttons is designed for toggling between TMO and DMO for quick access. The LCD also contains an indicator to show the current operation mode of the radio.
TMO集群模式
DMO直通模式 After pressing PTT, a "permit to talk" tone from the radio is given out. This tone indicates the network is ready to transmit voice message. You should wait and talk after receiving the "permit to talk" tone. Otherwise, the first part of the voice message may be excluded from the transmission and other members of the talkgroup may not hear it.Pressing and holding the emergency button for 0.5 second can activate the emergency call which will immediately alert the corresponding RCCC. The emergency call is followed by the "hot-mic" of 30 seconds (note 1, 2 and 3). If the radio is booked on in the CACCS3, the RCCC operator can instantly identify the UI and assigned duties of the officer carrying the radio from the CACCS3 terminal. If needed, the radio console in RCCC can activate the "ambient listening" feature and continue listening in to the conversation from the radio. During the activation of hot mic, other radios of the same talkgroup will hear a special tone of three beeps. A triangle sign will appear on the LCD to indicate the group call is in emergency mode. The RCCC operator can always interrupt and send a voice transmission to all radios even within the 30 seconds hot mic period.
To cancel the emergency mode, one must go through a proper deactivation procedure by pressing the left soft key to cancel hot mic, and holding it down until the triangle sign (hence emergency mode) disappears from the LCD. Note: 1. Hot-mic feature can be cancelled by pressing the radio PTT or the left soft key during hot-mic. 2. Hot-mic is not implemented for mobile radios installed on motorcycle. 3. If the radio is not under CC3 radio coverage, the emergency call cannot be sent and nobody will be alerted.
