To the dearest Hong Kong police,

When recalling the thrilling experience of yesterday, I still have the fear of what would happen if I had not relocated my lost things. Thus I feel it necessary to express my thanks to the kind policemen who had helped me.

I am a Mainland passenger on a business trip to Hong Kong and yesterday was my returning date to the Mainland. When my colleague and I got off from a taxi to the airport express, we were in such a hurry that I left my passport and wallet behind in the taxi. Our plane would leave in less than two hours and I had lost the most important things, and this would cause  a lot of troubles for us.

When I found that the taxi was gone, my colleague went to find the traffic controller and asked whether he could find the taxi. After ascertaining that the taxi was not in the nearby car park, he took us to the police. Upon learning of our urgency, the policeman made a few phone calls. It was so lucky that the driver later returned with our lost things and so we managed to catch our plane.

It was the police and the traffic controller who helped us in such a quick and effective way that in the end everything turned out to be fine. I’d like to mention the people who had helped us: LAR PSU 2, PC 7944, WPC 6654 and SGT 21318, TI operator 320857 and the taxi driver.

(Editor's note: the officers praised in this letter are SGT Law Kuen-hing, PC Chow Siu-fai and PC Cheuk Ka-yu, all from LAR 2 RAILDIST).
