The Airport Authority (AAHK) organises a Customer Service Excellence Programme annually to recognise the work and achievements of individuals, teams and organisations in providing quality customer service in the airport. With the support of the airport community, Airport District (APTDIST) has been voted for the second time as winner of the Customer Service Excellence Corporate Award of the programme.
It is the second time APTDIST has won such honour. APTDIST is also the only government department winner of the award, a testament to its quality services and professionalism.
Besides the Corporate Award, APTDIST's "Project PRE-EMPT" Cadre and District Investigation Team 3 have also captured the Team Award, outdoing over 300 contestants, and each team member has received a certificate for going the extra mile in discharging duties. They have also received letters of appreciation or compliments from the public.
In a presentation ceremony on May 14, AAHK Chief Executive Officer, Mr Stanley Hui, expressed appreciation for the outstanding customer services provided by the awardees, and attributed the success of the Hong Kong International Airport to the concerted effort put in by the airport community.
The Chairman of the Hong Kong Tourism Board, Dr Peter Lam, presented a trophy to APTDIST Commander Patrick Kwok. Mr Kwok emphasised that his officers had committed themselves to providing quality services to meet the needs of both residents and visitors.
