The Yahoo! Emotive Brand Awards have been held for the last 11 years with Internet users casting their votes for the quality brands and services they support most online. The three top brands with the highest numbers of votes in each of the 28 industry categories win the Brand Awards. In the 2012-13 Awards, the Force has won the Government Category Award together with GovHK and Leisure and Cultural Services Department.
Assistant Commissioner (Service Quality) Peter Morgan, who received the award on behalf of the Force, said: "The Force is happy to receive the Government Brand Award category and is impressed by the strong support from the netizens."
"As an organisation committed to provide high quality services and community engagement, the accolade reflects our success in building up strong ties with the community and partnership with various community sectors in ensuring Hong Kong remains a safe and orderly city," Mr Morgan added.
The award presentation ceremony was held on July 30. The award winners from non-government industries include many internationally recognised quality brands such as HSBC (Banking category), Ocean Park (Entertainment category) and MTRC (Logistics/Transportation category).
