A 29-members delegation from the Office of the Narcotics Control Board in Thailand paid a courtesy call on Assistant Commissioner (Crime) John Ribeiro on August 23.

 

The Deputy Secretary-General of the board, Mr Permpong Chaovalit, also led the delegation to visit Narcotics Bureau. During the visit, the delegation had a thorough discussion on the latest drug situation in the South East Asia and exchanged views on the common challenges with the bureau.  Both sides agreed to bolster co-operation in exchanging intelligence to combat transnational drug trafficking.

 

Members of the delegation included two Deputy Secretary-Generals, Mr Sukhum Opasniputh and Vittawan Sunthornkajit, and Minister Counsellor (Narcotics Control) at the Thai Embassy in Beijing, Mr Sitthisak Watjanarat.
