The last day of school is the beginning of the summer holidays. With no doubt, summer holidays are great times for us to join different outdoor activities with friends and family. Therefore, I planned to spend my holidays with them.
I first decided to attend the JPC Summer Camp this year. It is a precious opportunity for me to meet new friends and learn to become more independent. As a JPC member, we should be active, amicable and dynamic. Camping is a good way to foster these positive attitudes. I also decided to be a volunteer to help the needy elderly and children. It would be an unforgettable and meaningful experience to me.
I love art and I would do some artistic creations such as illustrations, paintings and carvings. Since practice makes perfect, I believe that my drawing skills could be improved in this summer. Sceneries of nature are wonderful for sketching, so I would go outdoors to paint.
Meeting friends is another thing I look forward to! We usually feel stressed and tired during school days. Therefore, the holiday, especially a long one, is a perfect time for us to relax. I even planned to meet my primary school classmates and teachers.
However, besides activities with fun, it is also important to review knowledge that we have learnt so as to become well prepared for the coming exams. I think we should manage our time effectively and balance should be maintained between study and play. We should “play hard, work hard!”
