Have you ever experienced something that you think you are not afraid of, but it surprised you and left you with an unforgettable feeling? This was exactly how I felt when I went cycling with my teachers and classmates in Tai Po.

I always thought that I did not need any help as I am an independent person. Although my close friends were not interested in cycling and none of them came along with me, I was not afraid. After a seminar on safe cycling, we began our trip from Waterfront Park to Tai Po Town.

My classmates were cycling faster than me, while my teachers were following us. "Don't wait for me! I can take care of myself," I told my teachers. I followed the signs along the route without anyone guiding me. When I noticed that I was cycling alone with nobody I knew near me, I thought I got lost. I stopped and waited for the teachers for ten minutes but I could not see them. I called them and luckily they came back to me very soon. Such an experience taught me a lesson that while seeking to become independent, I should look for help when I face difficulties.
