Today, I woke up early because I was so excited to have a foot drill training at the Hong Kong Police Headquarters. This training was organised by JPC. Three of my siblings and I took the ferry from Mui Wo to Central. We then gathered with JPC members from other districts including Lantau, Tuen Mun and Shatin.
We first attended a briefing on foot drill, followed by a written and a marching test. The lecturer reminded us to tell him immediately if we feel sick during the 6-hour training. As the training started, we were divided into groups so that instructors can teach us more easily. When we were given instructions, I found it hard at first but I got used to it as I practised more. It was really fun!
When the first training was done, we went to the lecture room to take the test. The test paper was in Chinese but luckily Mr Chan, the School Liaison Officer of Lantau District, explained it to us. So I was able to finish my test quickly!
After lunch, we started learning new skills, such as marching left and right and salute. My team did well and passed the test.
It was a fun and exciting day! I learnt to be co-operative and made many new friends! (Mr Pablo Comillias, JPC member of Lantau District)
