On April 12, we were glad to attend a programme named "Dream with my Child" by the Education Bureau which had a fun fair and parent talk for non-Chinese speaking parents and students. We helped "Project Gemstone" to host an information booth at Jordan Government Primary School in the morning.
It was meaningful and interesting for non-Chinese youngsters. Primary school students came along with their parents to have fun and a good time learning about the programme. Our booth aimed to promote "Project Gemstone" and the "Project Himalaya" co-host it with us. "Project Gemstone" provided weekly Chinese classes to help improving non-Chinese students' Chinese proficiency. The class also included police-related knowledge and police recruitment information.
It was a pleasure to talk with those students. We also gave small gifts at our booth. We had fun while they could learn and have gifts. The booth was a "win-win" to all of us. In the parent talk session, members of "Project Gemstone" and "Project Himalaya", who successfully joined the Police force, gave their sharing and took photos with us.
Once again, thank you for the opportunity for inviting us and I hoped to take the projects to further levels soon.
