On April 9, Sha Tin JPC members and students from eight other schools and organisations arranged a joint visit to the Government House. During the visit, I realised how majestic and splendid the ballroom is. The tour guide showed us the private garden of the Chief Executive (CE) with many plants, including spices, tomatoes, basil and parsley, planted by the CE himself. We then had a stroll in the back garden full of various species of plants and flowers which flourished in bright colours. To protect the environment, the CE also used decomposed plants as fertilisers.

Afterwards, we went to the ballroom for a game called "Turn Your Apprentices into Masters" in which we learnt the Chinese Kung Fu "Wing Chun". "Wing Chun" was not an easy martial art. It dates back to 1800s and you have to be very focused in order to remember the moves.

Finally, the CE came to the ballroom to greet us in person. He told us the current position of Hong Kong as compared to the rest of the world while we shared our views about the future of Hong Kong. We are most thankful for the opportunity to visit the Government House and had a chat with the CE. I wish the CE a happy post-retirement life soon!
