Being attracted by the vibrant colours of Turkish mosaic lamps on the poster, I immediately joined the class without any hesitation. Before the lesson started, every one of us was buzzing and couldn’t wait to make our own artwork.

With the guidance of the mentors, we started designing the patterns of the lamps using small pieces of glasses and beads of different colours. The most important session would be sticking the glass pieces and beads onto the lamp. It required us to stay focused so that the decorations were stuck in the correct position using specific glue and forceps. Once you were distracted, those beads would fall from the lamp and you had to stick them on again.

Even though we all felt a bit tired after concentrating for a long period of time, the sense of satisfaction was beyond words when we saw our final artworks. We also enjoyed the Turkish delights and cups of Turkish tea, feeling the vibes in Turkey. All in all, the Turkish mosaic lamp is truly gorgeous and you should join the class to make one for yourself.
