Airport District (APTDIST) has once again pulled off awards in the annual Customer Service Excellence Programme Award Presentation hosted by Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA).
The 2014 Customer Service Excellence Programme Award Presentation took place at the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) on July 4 to pay recognition to the corporate, individuals or teams of airport staff who have delivered outstanding customer services.
Being winner of the Corporate Excellence Award in 2012 and 2013, this year APTDIST has won the new Cross-Company Excellence Awards - Outstanding Customer Service Award with its Community Project, "Project Pre-EMPT", as well as five individual Corporate Excellence Awards. This underscores APTDIST's ongoing commitment to provide excellent services to the community.
"Project Pre-EMPT" promotes the concept of "Security is Everybody's Business" among the airport community and raises awareness of aviation security and crime prevention. Under the project, the airport security network, a police task force hotline, security workshops and many community engagement initiatives have been launched with a tremendous support from the airport community, including AA and retail shops.
Since the project's commencement in 2009, the airport community has made good use of crime information and the police task force hotline, directly resulting in about 70 successful arrests. The project has significantly contributed to maintaining the HKIA as one of the safest airports in the world.
Meanwhile, the Airport Security Unit, Operations Unit and District Intelligence Support Section of APTDIST have also won five individual Corporate Excellence Awards for their quality services rendered in rescue, arrest, investigation and traffic management.
At the presentation ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of AA, Mr Stanley Hui Hon-chung, extended congratulations to APTDIST. "I am greatly impressed by all of our awardees who have provided excellent services to our passengers. By enhancing our services and efficiency, I am confident that we would continue to deliver world-class customer services at HKIA," he noted.
