Junior Police Call (JPC) has teamed up with an international food and beverage (F&B) group for the first time to offer a "Better Food Better Life" Workshop for JPC members. This project on balanced diet offered a series of five workshops in February and March, including a visit to the group's restaurant, talks on F&B trade, a seminar on food education, and a cooking demonstration.

The restaurant's General Manager, who is an ex-JPC member, took JPC members on a guided tour of the restaurant and introduced its daily operations. The chef also demonstrated how to cook healthy and delicious pasta. In addition, a nutritionist offered tips on balanced diet.

The General Manager gave an overview of the F&B trade and her own career developments. She reminded those interested in making a career in the F&B trade to pay more attention to professional attitudes and achieve their goals through lifelong learning.

Commenting on the project, Police Public Relations Branch Senior Superintendent Kong Man-keung said, "The collaboration with the famous restaurant was a new attempt, to offer  JPC members training in cookery for a better understanding of different trades and choices for their career planning. More importantly, the project had also boosted their knowledge of how to lead a healthy life with a balanced diet." JPC leader Tang Po-ling said the workshop had given her a better idea of the professionalism of the F&B trade.

To mark the successful conclusion of the five workshops and as a token of JPC's gratitude, three JPC Advanced Leaders presented the founder of the restaurant, renowned chef Jamie Oliver, with a JPC shirt.
