The Force has pulled off 13 out of a total of 44 awards under Civil Service Outstanding Service Award (CSA) Scheme 2015. The awards for the Force comprise three gold, three silver, two bronze, two meritorious awards and three special citation awards.
The Force is also the department that has clinched the highest number of awards, having won five awards under the category of "Crisis/Incident Support Service" - gold, silver, bronze and two special citation awards.
The CSA presentation ceremony was held at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on September 4, with the Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, and the Secretary for the Civil Service, Mr Clement Cheung, officiating before a large gathering of guests, including members of the Executive Council and the Legislative Council.
Among the 13 awards the Force has won is the Silver Prize of the "Best Public Image Award". The Force is one of the three winners of this award, voted by randomly selected members of the public and members of the Legislative Council and District Councils. Deputy Commissioner (Management) Chau Kwok-leung and Director of Management Services Chiu Wai-yin received the Silver Prize on behalf of the Force.
Very pleased with having clinched a record of 13 awards in the highly competitive CSA Scheme this year, the Force sees this achievement as public recognition of its contributions to maintenance of law and order and service quality.
The Civil Service Bureau has been organising the CSA Scheme on a biennial basis since 1999. The objectives of the Scheme are to recognize the efforts of departments and teams that have provided excellent service to promote a customer-oriented culture in the civil service, and to inspire departments and teams to continue improving public services.
There are three levels of awards, namely inter-departmental, departmental and team, with different categories under each level. The details of the Force winning teams and their written submissions have been uploaded to the POINT "Hexagon" and the website of Service Quality Wing respectively.
