In line with the theme of "Permission to be Human", the Psychological Services Group invited an artiste, Mr Cheung Kai-chung, to share with Force members his hardship in the music career at a seminar on October 31. The event attracted the participation of Assistant Commissioner (Personnel) Tang Ping-keung, Chief Superintendent of the Personnel Services and Staff Relations Branch Ng Suk-fun and about 270 police officers and civilian staff.

Mr Cheung had gone through difficult times before gaining public recognition. He had all along worked hard in singing and song-writing but was looked down on by some people. From dating and getting married with singer Tse On-kay to the birth of their son, Mr Cheung faced a lot of criticism and eventually he suffered from depression.

Mr Cheung faced up to his emotional illness and received treatment. He realised that he should instill meaning into life and keep an open mind. He began to accept his imperfections and put aside other people's criticisms. In his leisure time, he would meditate, read and parent his child – living every day in a flourishing manner.
