Kowloon West (KW) Region conducted four experience-sharing workshops in March for over 160 officers with the objective of enhancing their professional qualities in performing report room duties.

Superintendent Lee Tak-chung led a Regional Working Group last October to identify three topics, namely "Report Room Procedures", "Handling Members of Public" and "Custody Management", for discussion in the workshops. Report room staff from Mong Kok District and Sham Shui Po District were invited to share their experience in handling detainees.

Through role-play, interactive games and group presentations, the attendees had a fruitful discussion about the three topics and learned about the good practices of colleagues. The working group will continue to organise similar workshops to raise the service quality of report rooms.
