Sexual Conviction Record Check

Information

The Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme has been in operation since 1 December 2011.

To submit new or renewal applications, appointment shall be made through the Online Booking System or the Auto-Telephone Answering System (Tel. 3660 7499) no less than one working day in advance of the intended appointment date. Walk-in applications are not entertained.

What’s New

  • Starting from mid-December 2024, the scope of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (“SCRC”) Scheme will be expanded to cover “prospective” self-employed persons. Police would also launch the online application platform and introduce other enhanced arrangements. Please check out the details here. For the exact launch date, please stay tuned to the latest announcements on SCRC website.　

  • The SCRC service is at its peak application season, we recommend the eligible applicants to submit online application in mid-December 2024 to save the waiting time.

Notice

  • To submit a new application, you must bring along the following documents:

    • Hong Kong Identity (HKID) card;
    • the original copy of a documentary proof of possible employment related to children or MIPs from relevant employer (template) [this documentary proof is not required for renewal application];
    • a completed application form*; and
    • pay a prescribed fee

  • Octopus card is recommended for payment. Please add value to your Octopus card in advance. Add-value service for Octopus cards is not provided by the SCRC Office.

    • New Application Fee: HK$140 per person
    • Renewal Application Fee: HK$93 per person.
